We are seeking a Project Landscape Architect/Technical Manager to join our Planning + Design Group in our Durham/RTP, North Carolina office.  Our firm’s dedication to providing comprehensive design services has put a focus on Landscape Architecture which in turn has created this new opportunity.   Working in a collaborative team environment, this position will be a part of leading the team through all phases of project management.

Required skills and experience:

  • Skills: Ability to design and detail amenities, planting design, hardscape design, monumentation, plazas and streetscapes.  Develop concept designs for project within various sectors (residential, commercial, institutional, municipal, parks &recreation and urban design).  Assist with efforts in streamlining design/construction documentation process and prepare a strong library of landscape architectural details.  This position will be asked to oversee and mentor younger staff.
  • Communication: Excellent communication (both written and verbal) are required.  A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to lead and follow as a team player are critical for success.  Ability to interface with both internal staff and external clients with diplomacy is essential.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of working experience and a professional license required.
  • Education:  Candidates must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from a four year accredited program.
