North Hills

What was once a declining suburban mall is now one of the most successful, thriving, urban mixed-use projects in the Southeast. Beginning in 2005 – and continuing to evolve every day – the North Hills development has become the City of Raleigh’s largest rezoning and entitlement project in its history. We’ve been there each step of the way helping the community of North Hills become the center of living, working and entertaining.

In partnering with Kane Realty, our goal has been to not only optimize the developable area, but to maximize the project potential and create a space that visitors and residents can truly experience. We created special street sections to urbanize the area and create a pedestrian friendly atmosphere that included larger sidewalks, benches and experiential streetscapes.

With every commercial development project we are involved in, success comes down to collaborating with our partners to understand the value the development will bring to the community. To us, tracking with timeline, managing regulation and respecting resources are all givens. By getting to know the businesses that will likely occupy the space, and recognizing the wants and needs of their customers, we’re able to create more meaningful experiences – and more successful developments as a result.
