Construction Administrator

Are you an expert in land development and utility construction? Do you enjoy both field and office work? Are you a detail-oriented person who performs site inspections to meet client compliance expectations? We are hiring a Construction Administrator to join our team in our RTP/Durham, NC office.
Minimum Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in Land Development and utility construction
- Excellent communication skills used to explain job progress and issues effectively to clients, market sector Project Manager, and Construction Administration Director
- Experience with project management and scheduling software (Procore, PIM, MS Project, etc.)
- Experience with site and utility construction estimation
- Experience with North Carolina State Construction Office is preferred but not required
- Please note that you must be willing to travel (day trips) for project progress inspections
- All candidates must be able to successfully pass a motor vehicle records check, drug screen, and functional assessment
Responsibilities
- Use their excellent technical skills to review shop drawings, use storm water BMP, perform lighting surveys, conduct NPDES and water/sewer inspections as well as hydrant flow testing
- Understand project specifications and construction plans
- Provide excellent customer service to clients by conducting pre-construction/progress meetings and process pay applications from contractors
- Perform excellent site inspections, document progress, and plan compliance for the client
- Prepare bid packages, administer bid process though selection of contractor
- Assist with other duties as assigned
