Minimum Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in Land Development and utility construction
  • Excellent communication skills used to explain job progress and issues effectively to clients, market sector Project Manager, and Construction Administration Director
  • Experience with project management and scheduling software (Procore, PIM, MS Project, etc.)
  • Experience with site and utility construction estimation
  • Experience with North Carolina State Construction Office is preferred but not required
  • Please note that you must be willing to travel (day trips) for project progress inspections
  • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a motor vehicle records check, drug screen, and functional assessment


  • Use their excellent technical skills to review shop drawings, use storm water BMP, perform lighting surveys, conduct NPDES and water/sewer inspections as well as hydrant flow testing
  • Understand project specifications and construction plans
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients by conducting pre-construction/progress meetings and process pay applications from contractors
  • Perform excellent site inspections, document progress, and plan compliance for the client
  • Prepare bid packages, administer bid process though selection of contractor
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
