Designer II, Water Resources

We are looking for a Designer II to join our dynamic Water Resources & Infrastructure Group in our Durham/RTP, NC office locations.
Minimum Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- Four year college degree in engineering with an emphasis on hydrology, hydraulics and stormwater management
- Preference will be given to those applicants who have obtained an EI (and are on the PE track), have 2 or more years’ experience in water resources design experience and have utilized ESRI GIS (Arc Map, etc)
- Design and analysis of stormwater management facilities for peak flow rate detention and water quality
- Analysis of open channel systems and closed conduit drainage systems
- Ability to work in AutoCAD and familiarity with standard H&H design/analysis software (HEC-HMS, Pond Pack, CivilStorm, HY-8)
- The ability to prepare riverine flooding analysis, prepare FEMA map revision packages, as well as previous experience with stream/wetland restoration projects and utilize HEC-RAS preferred
Responsibilities
- Functions of this position may include: Hydrograph Routing, HydraFlow, Riverine Modeling, FEMA Flood Study, CLOMR/LOMR, No-Rise
- Design, analysis, and permitting of stormwater management facilities (BMP) for peak flow rate detention and water quality, including preparation of construction documents.
