- Replaced and upsized two existing sanitary sewer lines because the University could not risk a failure football game.
- Removed an existing hedgerow and fencing and installed artificial turf because the football team needed a place to practice while their new indoor football facility was under construction.
- Installed a new irrigation system that can be operated from anywhere because keeping the field in great shape creates a more meaningful game day and television experience.
UNC Chapel Hill, Kenan Stadium
The gameday experience of a NCAA Division I football game is no less than thrilling for athletes and spectators alike. The UNC Tarheels are well known for their athletics and to attract and retain the best talent on and off the field. Every detail counts. In the case of Kenan Stadium, the client wanted to create a space outside of the natural turf field that augmented the athletes’ experience by allowing them enough space on the sidelines for movement, equipment and other personnel. It was important that the turf was high-quality synthetic turf that would be durable and long-lasting, enhancing the athletes’ experience on the field.
