McAdams assisted with the master planning and construction of Davie County’s first system park. The design team executed a master planning effort to repurpose a former high school site, granted to the county in 2017. The McAdams team evaluated the existing conditions of the site and remaining buildings; engaged the community to solicit input regarding desired program elements; evaluating the local / regional market for recreation opportunities; created a master plan for improvements; and generated opinions of probable and operations proforma that informed final design decisions. Once consensus was gained for the final design which included, a large and small dog park, baseball field, amphitheater and central green, inclusive playground, nature trails, family fitness course, shelters, landscaping and gym renovations; the McAdams team moved the plan into Construction Documents. The design team has been involved in the project from concept throughout implementation; providing both bidding and construction administration assistance.
