Energy Substation

McAdams was hired to complete a siting study for an energy company for the addition of a substation in central North Carolina. The siting study consisted of the evaluation of multiple properties around an identified load center. Each property was evaluated on distribution and transmission line viability, zoning, land use, stormwater and grading to rank each site in order of feasibility. Upon completion of the study and selection of a preferred site, McAdams was then hired to complete a one-mile transmission line plan and profile survey and a full site topographic survey of the selected site.
