Improved Site Usability and Functionality

Operations Center, Parking Expansion
The Operations Center in the Triangle is approximately 69-acres and functions as a support facility for an energy company’s electrical transmission operations. Initially, the project scope was to bring the site into compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, specifically the Spill Prevention and Countermeasure Control (SPCC) requirements. However, during conceptual design, the McAdams team realized we could successfully achieve not only compliance with the EPA regulations, but also implement other badly needed site improvements. These improvements not only solved a number of existing problems, but also improved site usability and functionality for their daily operations. Services included as-built topography, boundary survey, stream and wetland permitting, storm drainage improvements, implementation of BMPs, utility re-alignments and a pipe bursting project for a sewer rehabilitation.
