NC State University, Sullivan Drive

McAdams finished the design of a modified bioretention cell stormwater retrofit along Sullivan Drive at North Carolina State University, just in time to prove its strength during hurricane Ian. This retrofit mitigated shallow flooding along Sullivan Drive while also cleaning and filtering runoff before entering Rocky Branch. Special consideration had to be taken due to its location within a Duke Energy transmission line easement, where access for maintenance was required.
