UNC Wilmington, Greene Track Parking Lot

As a part of the overall study, McAdams completed an Advanced Concept Planning for the Greene Track surface parking lot on the main campus of UNCW. This lot is located on the fringe of campus emphasizing parking on the perimeter of campus, and therefore creating a more walkable campus. The lot serves commuters and event goers and consists of a 400+ space lot to provide the functionally needed for quick event ingress / egress, which is then combined with an effective parking layout for space maximization. Design considerations included potential midblock crossings, way-finding and coordination with bus routes for pedestrian and traffic efficiency.
