McAdams SHARES spent the past year nurturing even deeper connections to our community partners. By donating over $70,000 and committing hundreds of hours of service at over 40 volunteer events, McAdams employees built walkways in a Durham nature preserve; provided functional and beautiful landscaping for a transitional living home for youth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; and guided YMCA Camp High Hopes kids through a playground design project. We traveled to Burgaw, North Carolina, to reconstruct a home devastated by Hurricane Florence; we added books to a women and children’s library; we served drinks to accompany meals for Charlotte community food services; and we flipped burgers and chopped lettuce to celebrate successes alongside friends at the Durham Rescue Mission. Most importantly, we challenged ourselves to discover new ways of supporting and empowering the strength of our communities, as well as the passions and gifts of our colleagues at McAdams.
