Giving back through our McAdams SHARES initiative

To us, giving back is much more than writing a check or an occasional volunteer effort. It’s a year-round commitment, which we formalized into a charitable outreach initiative – McAdams SHARES. This initiative’s sole purpose is to give back to those in need in the communities where we live and work.

The McAdams SHARES committee is made up of over 40 enthusiastic McAdams visionaries from throughout the organization who guide our philanthropic efforts for volunteerism and administer contributions of two percent of our annual earnings to local charitable organizations. As a company, we are determined to focus our efforts on housing, hunger, childhood education and environmental stewardship. We have high hopes to make a positive, meaningful impact for those in need. Our immersive training is aimed at creating exceptional experiences for employees. With 216 courses to offer, including industry, program and discipline training, as well as live learning events, there’s something for everyone. We believe that every project fosters a culture of teaching and learning. Our focus on establishing a growth mindset and continuous improvement ensures that our employees are always growing and developing.

Internships

When you start an internship at McAdams, you don’t start alone. Each intern will have a mentor and the community of our Young Professionals Group, made up of individuals who have each least one year of industry experience at McAdams. Throughout your internship, you will contribute to real work with real impact, allowing you to better understand your strengths and interests. There are opportunities to adjust start and end dates, as well as returning post-graduation.

Company Trips

Authentic connection is at the heart of our culture and our company trips program is designed to strengthen it. Every employee receives an annual stipend to use toward a company trip, whether you want to help plan an experience in a destination you’re excited about or join a trip organized by a teammate. Through shared activities and time together, these trips bring people across teams, offices, and disciplines closer, creating meaningful connections that carry back into the work we do every day.
