McAdams’ Dan Lambert Steps Into ASLA-NC Presidency for 2024-2025
We’re thrilled to announce that Dan Lambert, Director of Landscape Architecture for McAdams’ Charlotte office, has been elected President of the North Carolina chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) for 2024-2025. With a robust 23-year career and an unwavering commitment to elevating the landscape architecture profession, Dan is the right person to lead and advocate for ASLA-NC and its mission.
Dan’s career journey has taken him from his home state of Colorado to coastal South Carolina, ultimately bringing him to Charlotte, where he has established himself as a leader in landscape architecture and urban planning. At McAdams, Dan directs a team of landscape architecture professionals, guiding them to reach their potential while building a framework for McAdams to expand as a regional and national presence in landscape architecture.
Having been a member of ASLA since his days as a student at Colorado State University in the late 90s, Dan has continuously shown dedication to the society, particularly in his contributions to the North Carolina Chapter. His recent service as the Member-at-Large for Conferences and Awards from 2020-2023, along with his volunteer work on the NCASLA Conference Planning Committee since 2018, highlights his commitment to providing top-tier educational and networking opportunities for professionals across the state. This commitment extends to his involvement in the Southeast Regional Conference (SERC) Planning Committee in 2023, further broadening his network and impact.
Dan’s vision for ASLA-NC is rooted in his passion for advocacy and his drive to promote landscape architecture as a fundamental element in creating vibrant, sustainable communities. His recent initiatives, including collaborating with allied professional organizations and universities to create shared events, reflect his dedication to fostering respect and visibility for the profession. He believes that bridging the gap in public perception and enhancing professional recognition of landscape architecture is essential to ASLA’s mission.
