Protecting Our Natural Resources
Conserving natural resources while designing new experiences for communities is a passion of the water resources department at McAdams, and we’re good at it. Partnering with Kalmia Gardens at Coker College in the summer of 2017, together our team was successful at winning a substantial grant application from Duke Energy Water Resource Fund. This grant allowed our team to design an innovative regenerative stormwater conveyance system (RSC) that, when installed, will directly and immediately reduce the pollution and improve the water quality for approximately 300 acres of runoff entering Black Creek. Many of our clients, like Kalmia Gardens, are often faced with infrastructure that is older and inadequate in protecting against erosion and stream degradation. Our expertise providing detailed study and analysis of potential or existing challenges allows us to provide viable solutions for our clients.
