Ryan Akers of McAdams Named Chair of the Triangle Community Coalition
Akers pledges to promote education and policies that encourage affordable housing, increased transportation options and Triangle growth.
Ryan Akers, senior project manager of our residential division, has been named chair of the Triangle Community Coalition.
Akers has served on the TCC Board since 2014, most recently serving as Vice-Chair. The TCC is a non-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to “promote public policy that encourages a balance among economic growth, development, the environment and community needs while protecting the rights and interests of property owners.”
“In 2019 the Triangle Community Coalition will celebrate 20 years of bringing balance to the Triangle real estate industry through business and growth advocacy,” said Akers. “As we work towards sustainable growth in our region, our coalition will continue to provide a balanced voice. The coming year will show our continued pledge to promote education and effective policy making that encourages more affordable housing choices, more transportation options and more open doors to growth critical for the Triangle. It is an honor to serve as the Chair of the Coalition. I am privileged to participate with, and be an integral member of this local group helping shape these regional decisions.”
