Memorial Plaza

This Police Memorial pays tribute to an officer’s sacrifice as well as honor the Mount Holly Police Department (MHPD) and the surrounding community that supported the department through their loss and the families. The memorial centers around honoring service and immersing visitors into the story that prompted the creation of the plaza. The officer’s motto was “Be on the pursuit of the ultimate good,” which is seen on a memorial wall that travels through the site. Nighttime will change the memorial into yet another experience with blue light beams illuminating plantings, sculptures and leading patrons through the memorial wall descent. The memorial seeks to provide a timeless space for community, healing, honor and remembrance.
