Project

Tryon Village

One of Cary, North Carolina’s first developments to be built in the Town’s new Activity Center Zoning District, Tryon Village is a mixed-use community including retail space, apartments homes, townhomes and office space, as well as dedicated land for a town park, ponds and greenway trails. Midland Atlantic relied on McAdams to guide them through the uncharted waters of the Town of Cary’s new Zoning Ordinance, while providing master planning, traffic engineering, topographic survey and platting, wetland delineation and permitting, as well as stormwater management. The 90-acre development presented such challenges as transportation coordination of access points with Cary and NCDOT, multiple wetlands issues and the Cary greenway and increased buffer requirements. McAdams’ layout revisions and infrastructure design minimized wetlands impact to below national thresholds. We also provided solutions allowing for the quick sale of the site’s outparcels prior to final approval of all construction drawings, generating needed capital for the sites overall development.
