Project
UNC Chapel Hill, Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center
The Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center is a retreat for executive education owned by the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Located in the Meadowmont Village community of Chapel Hill, this conference center is just minutes from the UNC campus. McAdams assisted the architect on aspects of the project from the concept plan to coordinating the submittal for the Special Use Permit through the approval process. The approval process involved obtaining permits through the Town of Chapel Hill, Orange Water & Sewer Authority (OWASA), Orange County, UNC Chapel Hill and State Construction Office. We also prepared design development drawings and final construction plans as well as successfully guided the project through permitting approvals. Surrounded by 28 acres of woodlands and landscaped grounds, McAdams was a part of the original project as well as three subsequent expansions.
