Field roles often involve walking, carrying equipment and working on uneven terrain or active job sites.
The fitness/functional assessment helps ensure candidates can safely perform the role and understand the physical nature of the work. It’s simply about making sure the position is the right fit and that teammates have the support and expectations needed to succeed.
Helpful Tips:
• Wear comfortable athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes
• Stay hydrated before your appointment
• Eat a light meal or snack beforehand

Supports field surveying and data collection activities as part of a surveying, construction staking, or SUE crew. Works alongside experienced Crew Chiefs to assist with field operations, equipment setup, and data collection while helping ensure work is completed safely and accurately.
Leads daily field operations and supervises crew members to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and safely. Serves as a key field resource for project execution and client interactions.
Supports survey projects through drafting, data processing, and the preparation of maps, plats, and other survey documents. Works closely with field and office teams to keep work accurate, organized, and on schedule.
Oversees project delivery, client relationships, employee development, and business growth within their assigned discipline (Surveying, Construction Staking or SUE), while supporting the financial and operational goals of the Geomatics department.
