Black Creek Greenway
McAdams provided consulting services for renovations of a two-and-a-half-mile section of the Black Creek Greenway in Cary, North Carolina. The renovations included the replacement of five pedestrian bridges and trail re-alignment (horizontal and vertical) to reduce flooding impacts and extend the lifespan of the trail. McAdams provided services, including public engagement; surveying; stormwater; and wetland and riparian buffer delineation. A flood study [Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR)] with Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) planned after construction, and prepared construction documents and specifications for the entirety of the renovation are complete. McAdams team members worked closely with the Town of Cary staff, adjacent neighbors and community groups, such as the Black Creek Watershed Association. McAdams provided support to navigate each stage of Federal Funding Authorization, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation; right-of-way certification; and plans specifications and estimate development.
