Kannapolis Lead Pipe Water Service

McAdams performed SUE Level A investigations at numerous locations throughout Kannapolis to support the City’s efforts to better understand and document its water infrastructure. The project involved the excavation of water meter locations and the identification, verification and documentation of service line materials on both the utility and customer sides of each meter. Through these investigations, McAdams confirmed pipe materials on both the public and private sides of the service connection, providing critical data to support the City’s water service inventory, infrastructure management initiatives and compliance with state and federal mandates. Project deliverables were compiled and presented through GIS mapping and data management tools, providing the City with a comprehensive and accessible inventory of its water service infrastructure.
