Project
East Carolina University, Storm Sewer Pipe Relining
This project involves the design and construction repairs for approximately 1,500 linear feet of Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) on the east end of campus at East Carolina University from just south of 5th Street to the pipe’s outlet at Greens Mill Run (a FEMA regulated stream which runs just south of main campus). McAdams is providing a full pipe assessment and repair recommendation for the in-situ repair of the aging and failing CMP pipe as well as SUE services (including Quality Levels A + B). As a full pipe removal and replacement is cost-prohibitive, McAdams will be investigating existing pipe conditions and failure locations through a closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection and assessing feasible options for various in-situ pipe repair techniques and technologies to save costs for the University. In addition to the pipe assessment, McAdams will be providing estimates of probable construction costs for alternatives as well as detailed construction documents for the recommended alternative. McAdams will also provide full construction administration services including on-site construction observation during the work through project close-out.
