Project
Lewisville City Hall
As the City of Lewisville continued to grow, City leaders determined that a new free-standing City Hall would best serve its citizens, and locating it in the heart of the Original Town of Lewisville would serve to revitalize and stimulate growth near the Denton County Transportation Authority light rail station. McAdams was hired to survey and replat two full city blocks comprising of 16 separate tracts and incorporating two street / alley rights-of-way for the new two-story City Hall building. In addition, we designed the civil site plan; landscape and irrigation plans; along with reconfiguring the four perimeter streets to accommodate on-street parking. The City desired to preserve the original City water well-house, which was previously used as a City Hall and City Jail in earlier years. Therefore, by strategically designing walkways and landscape elements, we blended the original water well-house into the front plaza as a historical feature for citizens to experience this piece of Lewisville’s history.
