Project

Lewisville ISD, Marcus High School, Football Stadium

Lewisville ISD provided a new football stadium to serve Marcus High School which
necessitated the complete redesign of all competitive athletic fields and venues. The
competition stadium sits in the same general location of the existing stadium, but
required the removal of the existing baseball and softball fields, tennis courts,
several accessory / storage buildings, and the relocation of the existing practice
facilities. The sports complex included a new competition baseball field with locker
rooms and offices, a new practice field and running track, a new competition softball
field and tennis courts with shared locker rooms and offices. The project entailed
utilities to serve the new restroom and concession buildings, new private sanitary sewer
lines, new underground stormwater detention facilities, and the addition of new parking
spaces. The site is situated in a park like setting and was interwoven with parking while
preserving majestic Post Oak trees and a natural stream. Special care was given to
preserving much of the natural beauty of site and insuring positive drainage for all the
various fields.
