McAdams’ Geomatics team performed a boundary survey of the project assemblage and located all above ground improvements on the site. All streams and wetlands were surveyed for buffer determination and incorporated into the boundary survey. Topographic and utility surveys were completed along Apex Barbecue Road, Salem Street, a portion of the Western Wake Expressway on ramp and the Kelly Road and Apex Barbecue Road intersection that will be affected by the proposed development. McAdams’ Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) crews tied Aerial control to the boundary control and performed Aerial LiDAR Collection. LiDAR data set was adjusted and classified. Enabling the production of a ground surface model that was merged with conventional topographic survey to produce and existing conditions survey for the development that will be utilized to aid project engineers in producing the development plans for the project
