GoTriangle District Drive Park-and-Ride
McAdams is partnering with GoTriangle to deliver planning, civil engineering design, and construction support services for the enhancement of the District Drive Park-and-Ride Facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. This transit infrastructure project is designed to meet growing commuter demand, improve multimodal accessibility, and support GoTriangle’s operational needs with new amenities and expanded capacity. The improvements reflect McAdams’ commitment to sustainable transportation design and efficient site development.

Key improvements include:
- Expansion of parking capacity by more than 50 spaces to accommodate increased ridership.
- New bus stop amenities and improved accessibility to the boarding area, enhancing the rider experience.
- Bus Operator Comfort Station, featuring a restroom and utility room to support daily operations and improve site security.
- Civil site layout and utility coordination, including permitting with the City of Raleigh to ensure compliance with municipal standards. Wastewater will be conveyed via approximately 2,000 linear feet of force main to the municipal sewer system.
- Monument signage design at the site entrance, integrating landscape architecture, electrical systems, and structural elements for a cohesive and welcoming arrival experience.
McAdams’ scope of work spans from concept development and engineering design to construction documentation, agency coordination, and support throughout the bidding and construction phases. This full-service approach ensures the facility meets GoTriangle’s goals while supporting the region’s growing need for reliable, accessible public transit.
