Wake Technical Community College, Learning Way

Learning Way is located along the southern edge of Wake Technical Community College’s Southern Wake Campus. This road serves as one of the main entries into the campus due to the construction of I-540. Improvements completed as part of this project included the following:

  • Learning Way: Construction of a 26-foot back-to-back two-lane access road; associated sidewalk, curb and gutter; striping; lighting; and drainage improvements.
  • Off-site Improvements: Addition of a stop light at the entrance to Learning Way from US 401, along with turn lanes, median improvements and drainage improvements.
  • Parking Lot Repaving: Repair and repaving of existing parking areas (i.e. existing Lot S) using a full-depth reclamation; associated restriping; addition of accessible spaces; sidewalk; and removal / replacement of existing broken curb and sidewalk.
  • Waterline Extension: Installation of a new waterline extension, which serves and improves the existing water system at the Southern Wake Campus.
