Mallard Creek, Recreation Center + Park Renovations

As part of Mecklenburg County’s effort to reinvigorate existing parks through reinvestment and renovations, McAdams’ Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Surveying teams were tasked with developing renovation concepts through construction documents and construction administration for Mallard Creek Recreation Center and its adjacent outdoor amenities. Working closely with architect, Jenkins Peer and Associates, a site plan was created to include accessible routes throughout the site, a dropoff plaza suitable for pedestrians and vehicles, a connection to the renovated multi-purpose fields, a playground, connecting the accessible parking to the front door, and a new multi-use loop trail around the site.
