UNC Wilmington, Dining Hall

The UNC Wilmington Dining Hall is a new social hub to enhance the on-campus student experience. It was designed to provide a variety of food options and located in the heart of campus. In addition to the Dining Hall, McAdams designed a new “Hawk Walk”, a main pedestrian thoroughfare that brings students, faculty and visitors right to the door step of the new Dining Hall. Due to its challenging location, McAdams designed a stream crossing that will minimally impact environmental features while enabling service and emergency response vehicles. The landscape has been designed to support and enhance the architecture of the Dining Hall by providing a thoughtful, native plant variety.
