Six Campuses, Two Summers of Field and Track Renovations 

The first phase converted the natural grass fields at Grapevine, Colleyville and Heritage Middle Schools to synthetic turf and replaced the tracks around them. It also resurfaced the existing rubberized tracks at Cross Timbers Middle School and Mustang-Panther Stadium. 

The second phase replaced worn synthetic turf at Cross Timbers Middle School, Colleyville Heritage High School and Mustang-Panther Stadium, and added a new track at Colleyville Heritage High School. The team also inspected and evaluated every tennis court in the district to guide future improvements. 

Every Field Ready by Kickoff: Phasing Around the School Year 

Each phase had to fit inside a single summer. Both were completed before football season began, so middle school and high school teams returned to finished fields and tracks when the school year started. The tennis court evaluations gave the district a clear starting point for its next round of planning.

Mustang-Panther Stadium: Home Field for Two High Schools 

Mustang-Panther Stadium in Grapevine is the shared home stadium for Grapevine High School and Colleyville Heritage High School. Both phases of this program included work at the stadium: a new track surface in 2012 and replacement synthetic turf in 2014. The district later renovated the stadium, which now seats more than 9,000.
