Notre Dame Stadium
Notre Dame Stadium received a major playing surface upgrade in 2014 with the installation of a new synthetic turf field system. The project included removal of the existing natural grass field, installation of an advanced drainage system and placement of a rubberized E-layer beneath the synthetic turf to enhance field performance and player safety. Innovative porous concrete runways were also incorporated beneath the playing surface behind the team benches, allowing large mobile camera platforms to operate throughout the stadium without impacting the field. The result is a high-performance athletic venue that supports game-day operations while preserving the iconic experience of Notre Dame Stadium.
