Project

Sugar Creek Greenway

This section of greenway consists of four miles of trail along Sugar Creek from Yorkmont Road, south of Billy Graham Parkway, past South Tryon Street in southeast Charlotte. The project connects several neighborhoods with parks, sidewalks and businesses; as well as the Farmers Market and new affordable housing developments. A new trailhead was provided to the public, along with a new parking area located off of South Tryon Street. Additionally, the trail connects with the future Irwin Creek Greenway, allowing the public to ride or walk to uptown. McAdams provided surveying, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), greenway design and civil design, flood modeling, drainage design, natural resources, landscape architecture and permitting services.
