Mesquite ISD, Vanguard High School

This project is designed to resemble an office complex instead of a typical high school within Mesquite Independent School District (ISD). The innovative high school will house 2,000 students from all over the school district. The extracurricular activities will also differ from a traditional high school. Instead of offering fine arts and athletics, the curriculum will include options focused on academics and career or college preparation. The campus will consist of four schools:

  • School of Technology: Including auto collision, auto tech, engineering, robotics, and logistics programs;
  • School of Engineering: Including computer programming, graphic design, visualization, and animation programs;
  • School of Construction Science: Including architecture and construction technology programs; and
  • School of Health Science: Including dental assistant, emergency medical technician, medical assistant, pharmacy technician, sports medicine, simulation lab with nurse deck, and firefighter simulation programs.
